Step into the Blue

'Step into the Blue' is a traditional Swedish weaving design with a twist.  Using shades of blue, the design is built row by row creating a fantastic effect.

If you already know the basics of the Swedish weaving hand embroidery technique why not try your hand at this larger piece? 

We will start by learning and sampling the stitch for this design then move on to stitch the main piece together.  Full instructions will be given.  The finished piece is approx. 30cmx40cm/12"x16".

You will learn how to block and edge the finished work ready for framing. 
Please note that this is not a beginners workshop (see First Steps workshop to learn the basics).  ‘Step into the Blue’ is suitable for those who have learnt the basics of Swedish weaving/Huck embroidery and would like to further their skills.
