Free beginner-friendly pattern - Hannah bookmark
Named after my youngest who loves reading, this bookmark is a great place to start. You'll begin with a few rows of straight stitch that will help you learn the needle placement and picking up the threads. The pattern will then take you through a couple of different zig-zag stitches. I've included finishing instructions as well.
